Fair & Social
This item is handcrafted under fair conditions. The fallen teak leaves are collected and processed directly on-site in Thailand. All employees are paid and treated fairly. No large commercial corporations are involved in the manufacturing process. Local raw materials are processed locally.
Recycled & Recyclable
The leaves of the teak tree are very resistant. In Asia, they are used, among other things, for roofing. They are a 100% natural product and therefore very easily recyclable. The leaves that fall from the tree are given a new, sustainable function as a durable bag or wallet.
Resource-saving
The leaves used are a natural product that does not need to be harvested. The leaves fall from the tree in the cycle of the seasons, are collected and further processed.
Vegan
The material feels similar to leather, it is often also referred to as leaf leather. Since it consists exclusively of leaves, it is completely vegan. The lamination also makes it very stable and water-repellent.
